What is CloseoutLog?
CloseoutLog is a punch list and closeout documentation app for iPhone and iPad. Capture field issues with photos and voice, annotate jobsite evidence, pin items to floor plans, assign trades, and export branded PDF closeout reports with optional field sign-off.
Does it work offline?
Yes. CloseoutLog is local-first — you can create projects, capture punch items, take photos, and annotate without a network connection. Team sync requires Team Pro and an internet connection.
What is Local Pro?
Local Pro is a one-time non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks unlimited active projects, unwatermarked PDF exports, custom logo and report colors, digital field signatures, and CSV export. Free accounts include two active projects.
What is Team Pro?
Team Pro is a separate one-time purchase that adds cloud sync, team invites, shared projects, and an activity feed. The team owner receives Local Pro included. Team Pro requires Sign in with Apple.
How do I restore purchases?
Open Settings → Restore Purchases, or tap Restore Purchases on the Local Pro or Team Pro paywall. Use the same Apple ID that made the purchase.
How does Quick Capture work?
From any project, tap Capture to log a punch item in one flow — title, location, voice dictation, photos, trade, assignee, due date, status, and plan pin. You can also open Quick Capture from the home-screen widget or a deep link.
Can I pin items to floor plans?
Yes. Import floor plans into a project, then place numbered pins when capturing or editing punch items. Open Plan Overview from the project toolbar to see all pins on a sheet.
How do PDF exports work?
Tap Export on any project to choose report scope, optional field sign-off with a digital signature, and preview the PDF before sharing. Configure company branding in Settings → Report Branding (Local Pro).
Are there ads or subscriptions?
No ads. CloseoutLog does not use advertising SDKs. Local Pro and Team Pro are one-time purchases — no recurring subscription fees.

Troubleshooting
Local Pro purchase or restore
- Use the same Apple ID that purchased Local Pro
- Settings → Restore Purchases, or Restore on the Local Pro paywall
- Contact us with the Apple ID email used for the purchase if restore still fails (do not send passwords)
Team sync
- Sign in with Apple in Settings and complete your display name
- Create or join a team from the Team tab
- Tap Sync Now in Settings if changes aren't appearing on other devices
- Local-only projects can be added to a team from the Projects list
Photos and annotation
- Grant camera and photo library access when prompted
- Long-press a photo to tag it as Issue or Done evidence
- Tap a photo to open the full-screen annotation editor
- Each punch item supports up to eight photos
PDF export
- Ensure the project has punch items matching your selected scope
- Field sign-off requires signer name and a drawn signature
- Configure Report Branding before export for company logo and header color
- Free exports include a watermark — Local Pro removes it
