Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Verilune ("we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use CloseoutLog, our punch list and closeout documentation application for iOS and iPadOS.

Data Collection

CloseoutLog is designed for field documentation on construction and closeout projects. Verilune does not sell your personal information or use advertising SDKs in CloseoutLog.

What the app stores for functionality:

Projects, punch items, trades, assignees, and comments stored locally on your device
Field photos, floor plans, and photo annotations stored in the app's local media storage
Report branding preferences such as company name, logo, and header color
Digital signature data when you include field sign-off on exported reports
Local Pro and Team Pro purchase entitlement status (managed with Apple StoreKit)
Sign in with Apple identity and display name when you enable team features

What we do not collect or use:

Google AdMob or any third-party advertising SDK
Advertising IDs for ads
Verilune analytics SDKs that track your field activity
Server-side storage of your punch lists or photos by Verilune when using local-only mode

If you contact us for support by email or the support form, we retain the content of that message so we can respond.

Local-First Storage

By default, CloseoutLog stores projects, punch items, photos, floor plans, and annotations on your device. Device backups (such as iCloud Backup) may include app data if you enable system backups. You control what you capture and export.

Team Sync (Team Pro)

When you enable Team Pro and sign in with Apple, project data, punch items, photos, and team membership are synchronized through Verilune's cloud service so your team can collaborate. Team data is associated with your workspace and is not used for advertising.

Camera, Photos, and Microphone

CloseoutLog requests camera and photo library access to attach jobsite evidence to punch items. Microphone access is used for optional voice dictation in Quick Capture. These permissions are used only for features you initiate — the app does not record audio or capture photos in the background.

Third-Party Services

CloseoutLog does not use Google AdMob or third-party advertising networks.

The app uses Apple system services, including:

StoreKit: Processes Local Pro and Team Pro purchases and restore
Sign in with Apple: Optional authentication for team features
Speech recognition: Optional on-device voice dictation for field notes

App Store and Apple Services

When you download CloseoutLog from the App Store or purchase Local Pro or Team Pro, Apple may collect certain information as described in Apple's Privacy Policy. Verilune does not receive your payment card details.

Data Security

Keep your device software up to date and use a passcode or biometric lock. When using Team Pro, only invite team members you trust to your workspace. Exported PDF reports are shared through the standard iOS share sheet — you control where they go.

Children's Privacy

CloseoutLog does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents who believe a child has contacted us by email may request deletion of that correspondence at support@verilune.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
